The line of premium cars Haval has just appeared on the Russian market, but has already managed to excite the public with the courage of its ambitions, aiming at serious competition with the Japanese and Europeans. The Haval H6 crossover is the main hope of the Chinese auto giant Great Wall in this field in Russia, so it makes sense to consider this car from all sides.
In China, the Haval H6 is known in two versions, the top of which is the Haval H6 Sport. It was him that the Chinese brought to us in Russia, although on the way they lost the prefix "Sport".
The Russian version of the crossover looks very presentable, stylish and modern. The front of the car is decorated with a massive chrome grille with a mesh structure, in front of which are stretched four double horizontal louvres, which are successfully combined with the design of the air intakes. The stamps on the hood and on the sidewalls also look very original. The sloping roof of the Haval H6 is adorned with neat roof rails and ends with a spoiler with an integrated additional brake light. At the rear, the crossover has received massive lights and a wide door that provides easy access to the luggage compartment. We also note off-road elements - plastic protection for fenders and sills, as well as lining on the bumpers.
The length of the Haval H6 crossover is 4649 mm, the length of the wheelbase is 2680 mm. The body width of the Haval H6 is 1852 mm, the height of the new item does not exceed 1710 mm. The minimum ground clearance (clearance) of the Haval H6 at full weight is 140 mm, with an empty trunk and without passengers, the clearance can increase to 170 mm. The curb weight of the novelty varies from 1541 to 1725 kg, depending on the type of engine and equipment.
The interior of the Haval H6 has a classic 5-seater layout and offers a lot of free space both front and rear. The interior is decorated as presentable and stylish as the exterior. Here there was a place for wood-like inserts, ambient red lighting, chrome edging, and other attributes of a premium car.
From the point of view of ergonomics, the salon is also quite interesting and meets all modern standards. In top-end configurations, the Havail N6 receives front leather seats with a lumbar support, developed lateral support, active head restraints and electrically adjustable in 8 directions.
Specifications. The motor range of the Haval H6 crossover includes two power plants.
- The gasoline unit received 4 in-line cylinders with a total displacement of 1.5 liters (1497 cm³), 16-valve timing, multi-point fuel injection, variable valve timing and turbocharging system. Its maximum power is 147 hp available at 5400 rpm, and the upper torque limit is 210 Nm held at 3500 - 4500 rpm (note that 202 Nm of torque is available already at 2200 rpm) ... The gasoline engine is aggregated with a 6-speed "mechanics" or with a 6-band "automatic". The average gas mileage in the combined cycle should not exceed 9.0 liters per 100 km.
- The diesel also has 4 in-line cylinders, but their total displacement is 2.0 liters (1996 cc). The equipment of the diesel engine includes a 16-valve timing, direct injection, and turbocharging with intercooling of charge air. The output of the diesel engine is almost identical to the gasoline unit - 143 hp. at 4000 rpm, but the torque reaches 305 Nm, available at 1800 - 2800 rpm. As a gearbox for the diesel engine, the same 6-speed manual transmission is offered, with which the average consumption in the combined cycle is 6.7 liters.
The compact crossover Haval H6 received a solid monocoque body, which is supported in front by an independent suspension based on MacPherson struts, and at the rear is supported by a double wishbone independent suspension. Front and rear, the car is equipped with anti-roll bars.
The wheels of the front axle of the crossover received ventilated disc brakes, and simple disc brakes are installed on the rear wheels. The Haval H6 rack and pinion steering mechanism received hydraulic power steering as an assistant.
At the start, the Havail N6 crossover has a front-wheel-drive chassis configuration, but in a more expensive version it receives an intelligent all-wheel drive system based on an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch.

In the list of basic equipment for the Haval H6 crossover, the Chinese included 17-inch alloy wheels, halogen optics, LED daytime running lights, ABS + EBD, BAS and ESP systems, front airbags, rear parking sensors, heated and electrically adjustable side mirrors, on-board computer, fabric seats, keyless entry system, engine start system with a button, central locking with remote control and speed sensors, 2-zone climate control, dust filter, ambient temperature sensor, as well as an audio system with a touch screen, support for USB / iPod / Bluetooth and 7 speakers.
The price of the "base" Haval H6 in 2017 (front-wheel drive gasoline) starts at 1 million 119 thousand rubles, the most expensive option (all-wheel drive "diesel") is 250 thousand rubles more.
