The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is a premium four-wheel drive mid-size SUV for the wealthy and active ... According to the German automaker, the car combines "the comfort of a sedan, the precision of a sports car and the versatility of an SUV" ...

The third generation of the high-performance turbo crossover was launched live on the catwalks of the Frankfurt International Auto Show on September 12, 2017, just weeks after the base model debuted.

After the next reincarnation, the car was transformed externally and internally, increased in power and received even more "cool technology".

The third generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo looks beautiful, powerful and dynamic, and differs from its “younger brothers” only in nuances. It can be recognized by a more aggressive front bumper with large air intakes, front turn signals made in the form of thin double blades, a quartet of rectangular exhaust pipes and 21-inch "rollers" with an original design.

The length of the Turbo-version of the "third Cayenne" is 4926 mm, height - 1673 mm, width - 1983 mm (including mirrors - 2194 mm). A 2895 mm base fits between the axles of the car, and its ground clearance in normal mode is 190 mm (in off-road mode - 245 mm).

The "combat" weight of the SUV is 2175 kg, and its gross weight reaches 2935 kg.

Inside, the "third" Porsche Cayenne Turbo has no significant differences from the base model - thoroughbred design, impeccable ergonomics, exclusively premium materials and the highest build quality.

At the front, the car "flaunts" sports chairs with integrated headrests and 18-way adjustments, and at the back - a comfortable sofa, more suitable for two people.

In terms of practicality, the Turbo-crossover is slightly inferior to the standard "brother": its trunk in the "stowed" form holds 745 liters, and with the folded (three sections in the ratio "40:20:40") the second row - 1680 liters.

The "heart" of the third generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo is a 4.0-liter aluminum V-8 petrol engine with direct injection technology, two turbochargers, an intercooler, phase shifters at the inlet and outlet and a brake energy recuperation system. It generates 550 horsepower at 5750-6000 rpm and 770 Nm of peak torque at 1960-4500 rpm, and mates with an 8-band "automatic" and all-wheel drive transmission equipped with a multi-plate front axle clutch.

With the "driving" characteristics, the crossover is in full order: it accelerates to a maximum of 286 km / h, "firing" from zero to "hundreds" after 4.1 seconds (with the modifications of the Sport Chrono - 0.2 seconds faster).

In mixed mode, the SUV “digests” about 11.6 liters of fuel for every 100 km.

Structurally, the "third" Porsche Cayenne Turbo repeats the "junior" models - modular "bogie" MLB Evo, body structure made of high-strength steel and aluminum, independent suspensions of both axles with pneumatic elements and electromechanical power steering.

At the base, the SUV boasts PSCB brakes with cast iron discs coated with tungsten carbide: on the front axle with a diameter of 415 mm, and on the rear - 365 mm (with 10-piston and 4-piston calipers, respectively).
For a surcharge, the five-door rely on a rear thruster, active stabilizers and carbon-ceramic brake "pancakes".

In Russian dealerships, the "charged" off-roader Porsche Cayenne Turbo of the third generation, as of the beginning of 2018, was exhibited at a price of 9,800,000 rubles.

As standard, the car has: eight airbags, a parking aid system, 21-inch alloy wheels, ASR, ABS, MSR, ARB, a multimedia complex, two-zone climate control, an audio system with 14 speakers and a subwoofer, full LED optics, cruise control, heating and electric drive of the front seats, heated rear seats and other "tricks".
