The premium crossover of the compact class Porsche Macan was officially presented to the public on November 20, 2013 at the same time at two international motor shows held in Los Angeles and Tokyo. In addition to the usual petrol modifications, there is also a turbodiesel version in the car lineup, to which the S Diesel add-on is attributed. Exactly two years after the debut, the SUV was slightly updated - new items were added to its functionality, leaving the exterior and interior without attention.

Outside, the Porsche Macan S Diesel looks like two peas in a pod like a petrol Esku - a powerful and energetic look with athletic and dynamic proportions, stylish lighting technology and beautiful wheel rims ranging from 18 to 21 inches.

The diesel "Makan" is 4681 mm long, 1923 mm wide, 1624 mm high, and a distance of 2807 mm can be seen between the axles of the wheelsets. The ground clearance of the premium crossover, thanks to the air suspension, ranges from 180 to 230 mm.

Inside, the Macan S Diesel completely copies its petrol "S-brother": a spectacular design with a beautiful steering wheel, a "family" instrument module and a presentable dashboard, high-quality finishing materials and a high-class level of performance.

The car is equipped with "tenacious" front seats with a large number of adjustments, as well as a hard rear sofa, which is optimal for only two adult passengers.

The cargo compartment of the diesel version of the premium crossover holds from 500 to 1500 liters of luggage, depending on the position of the back of the second row of seats, and in its "underground" there is a compact "spare wheel" and a compressor (in general, full parity with the "eska").

Specifications. The Porsche Macan S Diesel is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine with a lightweight cylinder block, a Common Rail fuel system, a BorgWarner variable geometry turbocharger that generates 245 "horses" at 4000-4250 rpm and 580 Nm of torque at 1750-2500 rpm.
The motor is mated to a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch robotic transmission and a plug-in four-wheel drive system.

Such characteristics allow the car on diesel fuel after 6.3 seconds to leave behind the first "hundred", maximally changing 230 km / h and consuming an average of 6.3 liters of fuel in mixed conditions.
But the off-road capabilities of the crossover are identical to those of the gasoline version "S".

Structurally, the Porsche Macan S Diesel repeats the Macan S in everything: multi-link suspension front and rear, air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, electromechanical power steering, ventilated discs measuring 350 mm at the front and 330 mm at the rear wheels, complemented by modern "helpers".

Prices and equipment. The cost of the updated "Makan" with a diesel engine in Russia starts at 3,878,000 rubles, for which the car has eight airbags, bi-xenon headlights, three-zone climate control, heated and electric front seats, a multimedia system, 18-inch wheels and other useful functionality.
