The French automaker Peugeot, following the "usual" crossover "3008" of the second generation, in June 2016, declassified its "heated" modification - with the nameplate "GT", which tried on sports touches in the exterior and interior, as well as armed with a powerful turbodiesel " four "and received rich functionality.

Before the general public, this car in all its glory appeared on the catwalks of the Paris Motor Show in the fall of 2016 and, shortly after that, it began to conquer the European market.

It is simply impossible to confuse the Peugeot 3008 GT with a "civilian brother" - the "charged" SUV externally stands out with LED headlights, slightly widened wheel arches, a chrome-plated radiator grille and exhaust pipes, as well as 19-inch "rollers" of a unique design (and optionally also a three-color body paint).

The "heated" version of the "3008" is 4447 mm long, 1906 mm wide, and 1624 mm high. The distance between the axles of the car is 2675 mm of the total length.

Inside, the Peugeot 3008 GT features a sports steering wheel with GT lettering, a bronze-framed instrument cluster and an abundance of leather and Alcantara trim.

In general, the decoration of the SUV is borrowed from the standard model - a spectacular design, verified assembly, a five-seat layout and a luggage compartment with a volume of 520 to 1580 liters.

Specifications. The engine compartment of the GT-version of the "3008" hides a 2.0-liter BlueHDi (1997 cubic centimeters) in-line four-cylinder diesel engine with Common Rail direct fuel injection, a 16-valve DOHC timing belt and a variable geometry turbocharger.
The engine generates maximum 180 "horses" at 3750 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm, and is combined with a 6-band "automatic" and front-wheel drive transmission.

It is expected that from one place to the first "hundred" SUV will break down in no more than 8.5 seconds, the "ceiling" of its capabilities will be at least 220-230 km / h, and the fuel "appetite" will not exceed 4.5 liters in combined conditions (official data on this score the French have not yet announced).

From a constructive point of view, the Peugeot 3008 GT does not differ significantly from the "civilian" crossover and uses the EMP2 platform with MacPherson struts in front and a rolling beam at the rear. The car "flaunts" a monocoque body with a large proportion of high-strength steel in the structure, adaptive electric power steering and disc brakes with auxiliary electronics "in a circle".

Options and prices. In Europe, sales of the GT version of the Peugeot 3008 started in the fall of 2016 at a price of ~ € 39,700 (which is ~ 2 million 600 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate), but whether it will appear in Russia is still unknown.
Already in the "base" this off-road vehicle received rich equipment: six airbags, fully LED optics, 19-inch wheel disks, high-quality interior trim, advanced multimedia, dual-zone "climate", full power accessories, a whole set of modern security systems and much more.
