The fastest representative of the Audi A4 range, the RS4 Avant station wagon, celebrated its official premiere in March 2012 at the International Geneva Motor Show. It can rightfully be called one of the fastest and most practical cars - the first is confirmed by a powerful engine, and the second - by the body type.
Identifying the hottest model in the A4 family isn't too difficult. Distinctive features of the RS4 Avant are "inflated" wheel arches, a massive front bumper with large air intakes, a pronounced spoiler on the tailgate, and a diffuser in the rear bumper with oval exhaust pipes.
The striking image of a "hot" station wagon is emphasized by large alloy wheels with a diameter of 19 or 20 inches, which hide the brakes of a wave-like design. The rest of the car repeats the S4 Avant.
External dimensions of the Audi RS4 Avant are as follows: length - 4719 mm, width - 1850 mm, height - 1416 mm. Between the axles of the car, there are 2813 mm, which is 22 mm more than that of the S4 Avant, although the ground clearance (clearance) is the same - 120 mm.
The interior architecture of the Audi RS4 station wagon does not stand out in anything special and in almost all respects repeats other models of the "fourth" family. Specifications. But the main difference between the "hot" Audi RS4 Avant from the S4 Avant is not noticeable to the eye - it is hidden under the hood. Under it is a highly accelerated naturally aspirated V8 unit with a volume of 4.2 liters, equipped with a direct fuel injection system. The recoil figures are impressive - 450 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, available at 4000-6000 rpm.
Power is transmitted to the four drive wheels via a 7-speed S tronic robot and a ring gear center differential.
This filling provides the versatile person with truly hurricane dynamics! Up to the first hundred, the car "shoots" in just 4.7 seconds, and its peak speed is limited to 250 km / h.
It needs 10.7 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers of mileage in the combined cycle (but this is “on paper”, the real consumption will be much higher).
The suspension layout here is the same as on the S4 Avant: a five-link design at the front and a multi-link at the rear. However, the shock absorbers and springs have different characteristics, the anti-roll bars are thicker, the silent blocks are less pliable.
Price and equipment. In the Russian market for the Audi RS4 Avant in 2015, they ask for a minimum of 4,050,000 rubles.
