In early March 2016 (on the stage of the International Motor Show in Geneva), the updated Peugeot 2008 mini-crossover celebrated its world premiere ... however, the French, being impatient, declassified their new product even on the eve of the public exhibition - in February. Well, this SUV reached the Russian market only by the beginning of the summer of 2017.
The company itself refers to this SUV as the "second generation", but a quick glance at it is enough to understand that this is just a modernization. Moreover, it limited itself to "little blood" - the exterior was corrected for the car, a new shade was added to the color palette, the list of equipment was expanded and the technical part was slightly modified.
After the update, Peugeot 2008 took on a more crossover and brutal look, and the credit for this belongs to the aggressive grill of the radiator grille with vertical bars, located between the lighting equipment of complex shape.
In profile, the "Frenchman" demonstrates a fairly embossed outline with "off-road" lining on the wheel arches made of black plastic, and intricate lanterns with "three-dimensional filling" and an "unpainted" bumper crowned the fried stern.
The outer dimensions of "2008" refer it to the class of subcompact crossovers: 4159 mm in length, with a 2537 mm distance between the axles, 1739 mm in width and 1556 mm in height (in general, full parity with the pre-reform model).
The interior of Peugeot 2008 has not undergone any metamorphosis as a result of restyling - the SUV interior is decorated in a progressive and minimalist style with a catchy instrument cluster, a "designer" steering wheel with a "plump" rim and an original center console enclosing a 7-inch color screen and stylish climatic "control". Inside, the car is cut mainly from solid materials, and it is assembled with high quality.
The saloon apartments of the updated "2008" are equipped with sporty-looking front seats with pronounced sidewalls and a sufficient number of settings and a three-seater rear sofa (although only two more or less comfortably sit on it) with an unnecessarily flat profile.
The luggage compartment of the restyled version of Peugeot 2008 has a volume of 350 to 1400 liters, depending on the position of the back of the "gallery", which is divided into two unequal parts and fits into a flat area. The underfloor niche of the SUV accommodates a compact "spare tire" and the necessary tools.
Specifications. In the Russian market for the "2008" 2017 model year, only one gasoline engine is announced - the engine compartment of the crossover contains an in-line "three" PureTech with a working volume of 1.2 liters (1199 cubic centimeters) with a turbocharger, variable valve timing, distributed injection and 12-valve Timing It develops 110 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 205 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm.
By default, the five-door is equipped with a 6-band "automatic" Aisin and an exclusively front-wheel drive transmission.
She is able to conquer the first "hundred" after 10.3 seconds, accelerates to a maximum of 188 km / h, and "drinks" no more than 4.8 liters of fuel in combined conditions for every 100 km of run.
The base for the Peugeot 2008, which underwent modernization, is the front-wheel drive "bogie" from the 208 hatchback with independent McPherson struts at the front and a semi-independent structure with a beam at the rear. The vehicle is equipped with an electric power assisted rack and pinion steering system.
The braking complex of the "Frenchman" combines ventilated discs on the front and discs on the rear wheels, as well as a set of modern "assistants" (ABS, EBD and other technologies).
Options and prices. Restyled Peugeot 2008 is delivered to Russia in two equipment options - "Active" and "Allure".
- The car in the initial configuration is estimated at 1 299 000 rubles, and it is equipped with: four airbags, a multimedia system, a two-zone "climate", heated front seats, 16-inch wheels, ABS, AFU, ASR, ESP, power windows, an audio system with six speakers and more.
- A more expensive version can be bought at a price of 1,359,000 rubles, and among its features are: window curtains, cruise, light sensors, rear parking sensors, panoramic roof, dark tinted rear windows, auto-dimming salon mirror and wheel covers arches.
As an option for SUVs are offered: leather interior trim, automatic braking system at city speeds and Grip Control technology for traction control electronics.
