The second incarnation of the "Scudo Cargo Combi" is a utility vehicle of the Italian automaker, built on the basis of the all-metal van "Scudo Cargo". The car has a dynamic design with large optics, streamlined body contours and stylish plastic body kit.

The "second" Fiat Skudo Combi received two options for the length of the wheelbase - 3000 and 3122 mm and, accordingly, two versions of the total body length - 4805 and 5135 mm. The width of the van in all cases is 1895 mm, and the height does not exceed 1980 mm.

The curb weight of the car is 1977 or 1994 kg, depending on the type of wheelbase. The carrying capacity of the younger version is 782 kg (including the driver and passengers), the older version is 797 kg. The total mass is respectively 2759 and 2791 kg.

Salon FIAT Scudo Combi is presented in two versions: two rows of seats or three rows of seats (removable). In addition, the front passenger double seat can be replaced with a more comfortable single seat.
Thus, the capacity of the FIAT Scudo Combi varies from 5 to 9 seats, which makes it possible to use the car both as a cargo-passenger taxi, and as a car for a repair team, or even as a courier car for delivering office correspondence / medium-sized cargo and employees - alternately or simultaneously.

Access to the second and third rows of seats is through a sliding door located on the starboard side of the van. In this case, for landing on the third row, it is necessary to move forward and tilt the back of the right seat of the second row of seats. As an option, the installation of a left sliding door is available to facilitate boarding / disembarking of passengers in the second row, access to the last row in this case is carried out only through the right door. Note that the seating arrangement is based on the amphitheater principle, i.e. each successive row of seats is installed slightly higher than the previous one, which improves visibility for rear passengers, but reduces the headroom.

The luggage compartment of the FIAT Scudo Combi was 1600 mm wide and 1449 mm high. The maximum length of cargo space is 1230 mm for the short wheelbase version and 1555 mm for the long wheelbase van. The useful cargo space can be increased by sliding forward and folding rear seats, which, moreover, can be completely dismantled, making room for oversized cargo. Note that even in a 9-seater version, the short-wheelbase Scudo Combi is capable of carrying up to 520 liters of cargo. The modification with a long base, in turn, is capable of taking on board up to 1200 liters of cargo.

As for the front of the cabin, the Italians offered very comfortable seats with the possibility of mechanical adjustment of the driver's seat, as well as an ergonomic front panel and an adjustable steering column. The driver's seat has good visibility, provides easy access to all controls and is already equipped with an airbag in the base. The cabin space of FIAT Scudo Combi is well lit, has received improved noise insulation and an abundance of storage places for various small things.

Specifications. In the Russian Federation, the second generation of the FIAT Scudo Combi cargo-and-passenger van received a 4-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters, turbocharging, 16-valve timing and direct fuel injection system. The maximum engine power is 120 hp. and is achieved at 4000 rpm. The peak torque falls at around 300 Nm, which are already available at 2000 rpm.
The engine is aggregated with a 6-speed manual transmission and is capable of accelerating the van to 160 km / h, while consuming no more than 7.2 - 7.4 liters of fuel in a combined operation cycle.

Like other models of the Scudo line, the combi-van received a front-wheel drive platform adapted to Russian roads with a front independent suspension based on MacPherson struts and a rear dependent suspension with a torsion beam and springs. The front wheels are equipped with 304 mm disc brakes, while simple drum brakes with a diameter of 290 mm are installed at the rear. The rack and pinion steering gear is supplemented with a hydraulic booster.

Options and prices. The basic equipment of the FIAT Skudo cargo-passenger includes 16-inch steel rims, a full-fledged spare wheel, ABS and EBD systems, central locking, a Webasto Termo Top Z heater, a high-power generator, an enlarged battery, front power windows, electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors.
The cost of the short-wheelbase Scudo Combi in 2014 starts at 1,064,000 rubles. For the version of the Cargo Combi (with a long base), dealers ask for at least 1,104,000 rubles.
