The next, sixth in a row, Toyota Hiace generation was presented to the world community on February 18, 2019 at a special event held in ... the Philippines (by the way, this was the first premiere of this scale in this island state).
The car, created on a "specially redesigned platform", has seriously changed its appearance, changing the cabover configuration to a half-hood one, radically increased in size, got a more modern and roomy interior, and also expanded its functionality with the widest list of "passenger" options.
Outside, the sixth generation Toyota Hiace looks quite attractive, balanced and monumental - a brutal front end with slanting headlights, an almost rectangular radiator grill and a massive bumper, an impressive silhouette with a short sloping hood, a large glazing area and expressive sidewalls, a sheer stern with a huge trunk lid and vertically oriented lanterns.

The Japanese minibus is 5915 mm long, 1950 mm wide, and 2280 mm high. The distance between the front and rear axles of the car reaches 3860 mm, and its ground clearance is 185 mm.

Interior
Inside, the "sixth" Toyota Hiace demonstrates a modern, but moderately calm design, without a crazy heap of lines, - a weighty multi-steering wheel with a four-spoke rim, an extremely understandable "toolbox" with a pair of analog devices and an onboard computer display "inscribed" between them, a sloping center console , carrying a two-din radio tape recorder, an air conditioner control unit and several additional buttons and "knobs".

Design features
At the heart of the "sixth" Toyota Hiace is a fundamentally new "bogie" created on the principles of the "lightweight" modular TNGA platform, which implies a longitudinal arrangement of the power plant in the front part (and not under the cab, as it was before) and the widespread use of high-strength steel grades in body structure.
At the front, the car is equipped with an independent MacPherson-type suspension with anti-roll bars, and at the rear - a dependent spring system with telescopic shock absorbers.
As a standard, the minibus is equipped with rack and pinion steering with hydraulic booster. On all wheels of the "Japanese" ventilated disc brakes are involved, working with ABS, EBD and BAS.

In the Russian market, Toyota Hiace of the sixth generation is offered in a single version called "Standard", for which dealers ask a minimum of 3,043,000 rubles.
